I'm going to tell you about deserts. In the day it is very very hot. In the night it is cold. It is very very dry. Many animals that live in the desert are nocturnal. Nocturnal means awake all night. In the desert the plants have very thick leaves. They have thick leaves to store water. Other plants have spikes. Spikes are very important for plants because many animals in the desert eat plants. There is not much water in a desert. There are lots of sand storms in a desert. Some animals that live in a desert get there water from a cactus. A cactus is a plant that has lots of spikes. A desert can be hot or cold. In some deserts it snows. But It's still hot. A desert can have lots of cool creachers.
